Didn't escape the heat. The high was nearly 90F clear up there. I've got a very rough drift from notes, but it may take longer to post. I was experimenting with brazen no backup out there and sorting my feelings about encounters. It may become a topic, instead of just another trip report at the website.
I went with the friend that I did Romero Pools with, two overnights, two days. DF was in Puerto Rico visiting her daughter and side trips to GA. with relatives and new babies. It had its moments. It is quiet and peaceful, hobbit-like and rocky mountain rugged. There is a warning of a poor black yogi that has gotten too friendly near there. So, there was much concern about leaving gear and sleeping with it. I had more than one branch break attempting to hang it up in a tree.
