Nude Recreation Week
« on: July 07, 2016, 03:35:23 PM »
July 5-9 is nude recreation week.  Tuesday I met and freehiked our trails and the Bradshaw Mountains with a friend from Prescott.  (We talked lots about forming a naturist group in northern AZ; anyone else interested?)  Wednesday I freehiked the trails on our land with Amy and a friend from Utah.  We also sat out on our deck enjoying the feeling of being nude together.  We sat out and watched the skies last night.  Amy mentioned we should have done it nude - darn missed an opportunity!  This afternoon I plan on working nude on our land.   What have you done for nude recreation week so far?  Fortunately, it’s not too late.  What are you going to do?

Every week is nude recreation week, but we've got a mountainous backpack, over night coming up.

Last week was more social, recreational, during 4th of July parties. GAtherings at people's pool parties came up. One was wonderful. friends skinnydipping and playing music. The other, a different group, that just felt uncomfortable and camera risky, where there were textiles with voyeur attitudes and sex on their minds. No swimming, went off to watch the fireworks. We were out on a nude vacation, too, earlier in the week. Maybe we'll go swim and jaccuzzi at a friends this weekend, too.

Nude recreation week!  Chance would be a fine thing!  We have builders working on a small extension to our property and they start early!  I have to pull my kecks on at 8am and bid them a cheery good morning!  Also weather has been mainly cool for weeks.  The building work will significantly increase the amount of garden I can 'play' in nude out of sight of neighbours. Bodes well.

didn't know there was a whole week dedicated to leaving the fabric behind.   not much recreation here but I'll get in some naked work in garden and woods.   Already got in some for awhile yesterday on the track hoe pulling trees back in the woods.   Need to hoe some weeds in the garden too which I'll do without fabric since it's out of sight of the main passage through the place.

Prescott is a 4 hr. drive from here, but it's beautiful country.

It would be a bit of a trip just to get to the meetings. There's a lot of stuff to explore in N. AZ.
Hmmm.

Prescott is a 3 to four hour trip from Tucson, depending. It is not a good day trip, but it is a good overnight. There are places to lodge and wonderful camping and hiking. The expense would be the price of the gas, which is not much.

If the spot would be that good, I'd bet I could talk DF into a weekend trip, with enough notice. If Kensunwalker and wife have a tent spot, we could come up after work on a Friday and be there for morning. My son's 4x4 group does that often. DF will be having multiple three day weekends soon.

Eyesup, could you make it on a Friday night? But then we might find ourselves up too late. ;D

Where are the good nude hikes and campouts during the weekends? Trails are much more peaceful during the week. There are many places with elevation to escape the heat. I have 4x4 with a backseat (SUV Fourrunner Toy). That would expand the range and list of options. Sedona is filled with busy trails, but there are options there, too.

Ken, if you would be host, would you be scout, too? Grasshopper point? Red Creek in the spring? Pine forest trails? Mogollon Rim? If I came up with some ideas, perhaps you could consult locals and narrow it down? DF has relatives up there who used to poke around in 4x4, but mostly Verde Hotsprings. This site looks promising: http://bradshawmountains.com/explore.htm

Just throwing that out there.

SO, YOU were hiking in the Bradshaws? SO...Where's the trip report? Inquiring minds and all of that.... ;)

Ken Sun:  You’d be welcome.  We are just beginning the process of putting in a driveway, and building a house on our land.  Then there will definitely be places to camp.  I’ll let you know when they are ready (maybe a month).

Jbee:  Where are the good nude hikes and campouts during the weekends?  Trails are much more peaceful during the week.

Ken Sun:  The trails in our area (and especially on our land) seldom see traffic, even during the weekend.

Jbee:  Ken, if you would be host, would you be scout, too?  Grasshopper point?  Red Creek in the spring?  Pine forest trails?  Mogollon Rim?  If I came up with some ideas, perhaps you could consult locals and narrow it down?

Ken Sun:  Sure

Jbee:  SO, YOU were hiking in the Bradshaws?  Where's the trip report?

Ken Sun:  Yes, and I’ll see if I can come up with a trip report.  Perhaps I can do one about this entire Nude Recreation Week.

Is your land in a rural area or is it developed?

It sounds like a quiet area.

I began looking at the Bradshaws in that website and an Arizona map. There are lots of Pine this and Aspen thats roads up in those mountains. We would be into escaping the heat, an easy sell to DF. That looks to be not far from your place.

DF just got home, I inquired and she is up for it.

Our land is rural.

It can be warm this time of year, but the canyons are very nice.

We are freehiking Monday with several naturists and you are all welcome, or any other time as well.

July 5th was naked reading day and July 5-9 was nude recreation week.  I participated in and enjoyed both events.  July 5th I read (for the 2nd time and nude of course) more of the most influential book I’ve ever read – Busting Loose for the Money Game by Robert Scheinfeld.  (I see that it's available on Amazon.  I recommend everyone read it, especially naked.)  Tuesday I met and freehiked our trails and the Bradshaw Mountains with Dave, a friend from Prescott.  (We talked lots about forming a naturist group in northern AZ.)  Wednesday I freehiked the trails on our land with Amy and a friend from Utah.  We also sat out on our deck enjoying the feeling of being nude together, and then sat out and watched the skies that night.  Amy mentioned we should have done it nude - darn missed an opportunity!  Thursday I worked nude on our land, raking the trails.  Friday I enjoyed being naked around the house with Amy, eating and watching movies.  Saturday I spent several hours on our land (naked of course) redoing some nature signs, raking the trail, and watering the plants.  (I know much of this sounds like work, not recreation, but for me working naked is recreation!)

Perhaps you spend most weeks nude.  Still, last week was special because you were actually participating with many others in the naked celebration.

How about a report about what you did last week?.

The good feelings continue; today Amy and I are freehiking on our land with several friends.

Well, I'm recalling what I did naked on July 5-9.  (That's not a whole week).

On Tuesday, July 5, I drove naked from my hotel in Albuquerque north through New Mexico and southwestern Colorado, through Salt Lake City, Utah, on I-15, and on to a hotel in Brigham City, Utah. (USA) I put on shorts occasionally for gas or pee stops.  A few times I got out of the car naked and walked around it before getting back in.  A few times I pulled off on a side road to pee and got out naked to pee beside the road.  Then I walked naked around the car or perhaps a little farther before getting back in and continuing on my trip.

On Wednesday, July 6, I drove naked from the hotel in Brigham City, Utah north on I-15 to Montana and then west on I-90 to my home south of Cheney, WA.  I walked naked around my car in the hotel parking lot before getting in and driving off.  I try to smile at the video cameras.  That's about 1,300 miles total over 2 days.

Thursday and Friday the weather here in Cheney, WA was unseasonably cold and rainy.  I went out naked a few times briefly into my yard, walked down to take some trash out, etc., but spent most of those days indoors wearing a fleece jacket.  We had a bunch of company over on Saturday, July 9, so that day was mostly clothed.

Sunday, July 10, I got out naked and mowed my drain field.   I was mowing within sight of the county road for over an hour but not a single car or truck went by.  Its still unseasonably cold and windy here so I went indoors to shower after mowing.

Our weather this week is warming up a little but still not as warm as we expect for July.  High temps will be mid-70s.  Maybe I can get more naked time this week.

I wasn't aware there were so many different days set aside for nude activities.

I thought there was only WNBR and Naked Hiking Day.

The calendar declares July 4th through 10th as Nude rec week. So, skinnydipped with friends Mon. We took Sat. afternoon at friends pool and prepared for a nude backpack trip. Sunday, we embarked on the trip, Hiking through the Catalina Mountains into the Wilderness of Rocks and camped out, partly in quest of naturist swimming holes. The rest of that week was more the usual, nude living.

Bob:  You traveled within 15 minutes of one of my favorite freehiking areas up the canyon past Brigham City.
