I haven't been back east since 1985 and Europe 1966. I'm very freakin' amazed...stunned. I never saw anything like that. It's like a park or a golf course or something!

I have to be honest, this was a perfect scenario of park crews, weather and heat this summer. Done those same trails before where only a cut of a 36 inch mower deck and briars over growing into the pathway. Hard to do naked let alone barefoot. As I mentioned the one park uses the same trails for snowmobiles trails and I suspect that is the reason the other park cut their trails that way.

You mean they didn't do all that work so the nude hikers could have as nice a day as the snowmobilers?

Unbelievable!  :(  ;)

I have read elsewhere that others have enjoyed being naked on those same pathways. Who knows, maybe a higher up in ttheparks department is a free ranger also! So they ordered that crews were to mow as they have done this summer. So Duane, you could have touched on something there.

I certainly wish that the case in Ohio State Parks is a ranger that is also a free ranger or the head of the park system also has ordered trails groomed for our sake. There has been no official announcement on their website but a conversation with a park regular who heard a grapevine rumor that it has been done in order to promote cross country skiing. So I will gladly be the beneficiary of such a program.

Have you ever gone out SN in the snow as our intrepid JMF does?

Of course it would be harder to remain screened by the undergrowth in the winter.

There is a reclaimed mine area near me that has been planted with pine trees so they offer the kind of cover perfect for SN. They also provide a windbreak which helps to keep the windchill down while nude snow walking. On the hiking naked site I have written such escapades in fact for a number of years the New Year Day hike had been part of the celebration.
