I scrape off the buildup, the scales, the toxic waste, the dry dead skin, the useless and the poison with a brush or luffa. I do this before a shower to wash it away. I do this before and during a sweat when it is effectively exuded. I do it naked. Otherwise, this layer of potpourri is trapped inside my clothing, staying slimy and more vibrant...alive. I am trapped inside a bag with it and it doesn't go away. Some of it is antagonistic to my good sense of smell. It is all of the stuff that clogs up the pores, sickens and needs to be disguarded naturally through the body's largest cleansing organ, a system that begins deep within, a fluid transference and filtering of what is good to keep and useful, and what is not. Often times, it is stuff that can eventually build up, create imbalance and even kill, like for example metals.
One might think that clothing would protect us from this residue. After all, doesn't it collect on the carpets, the furniture, the sheets? Well, that's what bathing, or rinse is about. That's what a towel to sit on is about. It generally dries and blows away, it is more microscopic, it disposes naturally, it is organic and generally not an issue. Sheets may be cleaned, towels and what have you. The alternative is to live in a cocoon of it, to wallow in it. It is not an issue if it isn't moist in clothes, sustained in oils, rubbed in to fabric. It clings to the dust in the wind, the dirt of the air.
Somehow, this mega-complex of biology interacts and we stay safe form each other unless a pathogen arrives. But, I do know that the place where it is not meant to hangout is in the body and these body mechanisms are in place to dis-guard it as need be. Clothing isn't needed to protect our bodies from each other, skin and blessed water is. It is better to optimize the process, scraping, sweating, and being naked in the sun, allowing the body to go from hot to cold, experiencing all of the wonderful sensations that are life.
What happened to our mouths with Listerine, as was mentioned, happens with our whole bodies. Rather than to introduce something out of character, it is best to optimize the natural systems. Dentists are now realizing how much saliva cleans teeth, etc. What about the whole body? We are ecosystems. We get icky without a swish and water cleanse, but we are what we are.
Naked is health.
