Memorable nude hikes are often when something goes wrong, or things work out perfectly. They are hikes in places that I would like to return to. I want to return to most of those places. There can't be one "most."
There was Aravaipa Canyon because it is a prehistoric paradise. There was Wilderness of Rocks, because of the trail's scenery and the sense of relief after a busy section. Any trip to Redington pass for the sensual barefoot all over experience. Running out of water coming back from Romero Pools was memorable. Climbing out of Ash Creek in the Pinaleno Mountains was memorable as being arduous. The most fondly remembered were often those with water, beaches or creeks. Muleshoe was memorable because of the sense of back to elemental nature in the raw, accentuated by the raw sensations of being nude (I'll be publishing that one very soon on my website). There have been short jaunts off of naturist resorts, or more public areas, where I felt that feeling of getting away with something. There were those that gave a profound sense of freedom, like that barefoot stroll across the back trail of the Rainbow Gathering. Each hike seems to have a unique quality about it, otherwise there would be no adventure.
Memorable hikes that I hope to return to this year are Aravaipa in a different area, the Mexican beach, and several times, be up and down from Romero Canyon to the top of Mt. Lemon. There are some new places on the "this year" list, too. I'm sure that those experiences will be memorable. After discussing nude hiking with a higher up forest ranger, I feel more assured that I can be less covert and covered in certain areas in a reasonable manner. I'll bet that I will experience some memorable encounters in my exploration of this and within myself.
There are memorable hikes that I have read about others taking. Ones that I would like to do. Places to go are all over this world. I must have a list of more than 50 spots to get to in the coming years.
Yea, I'd love to read about these "memorable" hikes, too, Ken. We took one or two together one day. Milfmog has given us some great trip reports. There must be numerous...tons of... memories among this group. Alps, out west, New England and the old. Would Karla and Stuart have a particularly favorite, or more meaningful excursion, that they would point out, or elaborate on?
