Wow, Nudewalker!
Mercury, PCB's, Dioxin, Selenium in the water!

I am assuming that the result of all the mining in WV. Yes?

I've been to Virginia but not to your state. The closest I've been was when I was camping in the Shenandoah area. A beautiful place.

In this report, the predominate problem with the fish is PCB in them. It is sad and shocking to read government sources that warn us of the dangers in fresh, wild caught fish.

PCB is another Monsanto legacy in the continually lengthening list."In a trial lasting six weeks, the jury found that "Monsanto had engaged in outrageous behavior, and held the corporations and its corporate successors liable on all six counts it considered - including negligence, nuisance, wantonness and suppression of the truth." Crean, Ellen (November 2007). "Toxic Secret Alabama Town Was Never Warned Of Contamination". CBS News. Retrieved 31 August 2015. Just another stab at corporate ethics and PCB.

Man-made, PCB is listed as a "definite" carcinogen, not possibly one, but clearly so. It is recommended at "zero" parts in water, but effectively, we get the okay at .5, zero being impossible these days.

PCB was banned in 1979. This is still with us. It is world wide.

With revolving door Monsanto executives, lobbyist and lawyers running the FDA and official suppression of information similar to this by EPA, as its funding gets gutted, these problems will continue to pop up for the sake of short term profits of a very few pockets. So what can we do?

I fast.

I detox with sweat/sauna and body movement. I make sure that my largest organ, my skin, interacts with the rest of the bodily system to flush out the crap and metals that poison. There are several layers with cleansing functions, the body fat, etc.
clear to the organs like liver and kidneys that work together to detox stuff like this. Naturally, naked skin isn't trapped by the stuff. In the air and sunlight, the detox function and more functions optimally. Skin is not just a sausage case; it is huge.

Another prevention of being a victim of the greed of the corporatocracy is to carefully source food supply and watch diet. I make effort to retain the integrity of organic foods, from soil that is well cared for. I can simply taste the difference. There are responsible organic local farmers here. I limit meat consumption to eggs and fish. Only wild red meat in a very limited amount, from clean areas. I'm particularity sensitive to this because I recognize that nutrition, is diminished significantly (most of it) by processing, dilution and cooking, I eat 80% raw foods. I can't cook out the toxic crap in my food and ehwn I do, I cook out the nutrition and biological goodness.

I refuse to trust Monsanto. I eat European cheese and products, because of Monsanto chemicals, processes and GMO's. Not to mention that the cheese these days melts and taste like plastic and has no probiotic microscopic natural properties that cheese traditionally has given us.

I'll probably be alright. I'm just sticking with natural stuff that has been a human environment for millennia, tried and true. Most of what is sold and practiced is something that has been changed in my lifetime. The clothing thing, a little longer. I can reduce the odds and the effect. I can do my best. But, there is no escaping it. But, also, there is no sense in wallowing in it. That is gambling with worse and worse odds. Eating processed foods is like continuing to eat fresh fish with PCB everyday, but more risky. A little here and there and you may be alright.

When I walk naked I am continuously aware of the better sense of the environment and health and reminded that I am beating down the odds of modern lifestyle poisons messing with my body. I am doing something that feels like it makes me function better, because it feels good, it feels better and natural. I am constantly reminded what a complex and wondrous machine this body is that is doing amazing intricate things that I am not even aware off to stay healthy. So, I am reminded to eat better and exercise and do that more naturally, too. It is a package. Nude and natural. When I invite people to sweat, I know what I am giving them and sharing with them, health. Human camaraderie and sharing and re-enforcing good habits, good intentions, good beliefs, positive stuff, is very healthy.

I prefer to choose my own risks, not have people who don't care about me, or are ignorant, or reckless, make decisions about my health and well being.

This report was disturbing...It stimulated reflection and triggered a bit of a rant.

I could have gone into a rant myself Jbee! I had just gone to get my fishing permit when with which I was given a copy of the advisory. I knew that there were recommend limits of consumption on certain species of fish; not quite as broad as the advisory stated. to top that off, the state government just passed a bill allowing a relaxation of some of the mine runoff. Mrs. Walker has often stated that' "Man will lead to his own destruction". Looks like it will be a sow painful process.

Sorry to steal your venting rant! ;) I know how you would have enjoyed it. It can be difficult to keep on a naturists track, when getting on about free range habitat being taken and health is being risked, just for someones irresponsible short term gain. I'd bet that we could go on and on together, but would be bridging into the political opinion realm quickly and yelling, "oops!"
