Working on the Land
« on: June 18, 2017, 04:02:00 PM »
Most every day I am blessed to be able to spend hours naked working on our land - improving trails, watering the garden, meditating.  Of course I love it!

One hundred five plus and into teen's Fahrenheit keeps my outdoor work to a minimum, but when I do get outside, I am graceful to be better much better equipped for it by being nude...and coverings for the soles of my feet.

Spent nearly all day naked working on the land,  and it's common occurrence now, doing gardens and wood cutting.     I have the front garden where I don't work naked and my neighbor helps out a lot.   Then a garden back in the woods that is starting small but I am working on expanding to eventually cover many acres of plantings both annual and permanent.    Right now it's just a small plot with 11 varieties of melons divided with rows of sugar beets.    A deer started working on it,  choosing the beets first,   so I had to get enough deer fence to surround it.    Worked on cutting and splitting up a pile of wood and burning it in barrels into biochar.   That will be an endless project for many years I'm sure.

i went round the doc's today,
reckon ive been mowing their lawn and trimming the shrubs and hedges for nigh on 20 years. i do the lawns approx once a fortnight, depending on the weather and fit the trimming in as and when.  in the early days they worked most days and  the child minder turned up at school chucking out time so i was mostly there alone. must be about 5 years since i told them i often worked naked.  now we'e at the stage that one of them is often working from home when im there.

this morning mr docs car was on the drive when i started on the strimming with the petrol strimmer , weather was cloudy but quite warm, so i was dressed in shoes, socks ,bib and brace overalls and forestry helmet with face grill and ear muffs. . strimming takes about 90 minutes , during which doc came out with  tea. by the time id finished docs car had gone and i was sweating, glad to get rid of the clothes for an hour on the ride on mower sat on my beach wrap.   doc came out with more tea just as i was finishing.

then it was half an hour with the walk behind mower wearing a pair of sandals.

half hours break for lunch then half an hour with the electric flymow on a bit of grass the other mowers cant get to cos its up some narrow steps.  this bits visible from the nearby railway line , i normally just ignore the occasional trains.

then it was an hours hedge trimming (another mug of tea appeared whilst i was up the step ladder with the long reach trimmer) before i had to dress to go round the auction house to collect the stuff id bought at saturdays auction before coming home. via the supermarket

its noticable how the doc isnt so chatty when im naked as he is if im clothed   and if mrs doc is at home i dont get tea when im naked.

Some people feel that they are invading privacy, as they have been trained to do. They often overt their eyes. Some just feel uncomfortable, not knowing how to act. Some are polite, but just don't want to be around a naked person, for whatever reason. Got any clue as to what might be going on behind those eyes of the doc?

By "strimmer," I'm going to assume you mean one of those yard trimmers with the nylon string.  I tried using one of those naked once.  I soon learned that it throws little pieces of heavy nylon string at high speeds in all directions.  I soon had several bruises on my legs, some of them with small cuts.   Now I wear long pants when doing that chore.  There are reasons to cover yourself sometimes.

Most people aren't accustomed to talking to naked people.  We end up as "others."  You are lucky that they are tolerant enough not to complain about being naked.

the bib and brace overalls leave bare shoulders and arms which is ok on grass, but anything tougher like nettles and brambles it got to be a full boiler suit.   the forestry helmet has a full face mesh guard , ear muffs and a hardhat ,  the hardhat is usefull round the low branches watching the cutting head i often bang into low branches.

sometimes on scrub rather than using a metal blade in place of the string head ill fit the hedge trimming blade assembly  used at the right angle it works like a powered scythe, mini finger bar mower, ok on coarse weeds and brambles and doesnt fling pieces ... good shoes are still essential but the rest can be bare.

ric, I would have guessed that after 20 yrs. there would be a more relaxed relationship. Is it just the doc or the mrs. too. I seem to remember you commenting once that you had a lengthy conversation with her once.

It could be a cultural thing or employer/employee thing. Has it always been that way or only since you made them aware of your naked preferences?

spent a couple of hours this afternoon , round one of the neighbors on her ride on mower , the old girl is over ninety but still lives alone with her dog, virtually housebound , gone are the days when she used to come out and chat whilst i was trimming her shubs in my birthday suit.
anyway i mowed her lawns and then the pathways on the adjacent green burial ground wearing a hat and sat on my beachwrap.  wil have to pop back round the burial ground soon to trim back some brambles that are leaping onto the paths.  working there during the working week its rare to see anyone visiting the burials.. they had another interment last week.  must be nearly 2 years since my naked mowing last coincided with a visitor to the graves.

Cemeterys are good places for free range naturism during the week? I'll have to remember that one, the next time that I need elbow room and a suntan.

Cemeteries are often good places.  The usual residents don't mind if you are naked.

I suppose, when the time comes, it is best to be buried naked. As "everything is better naked" suggests?

I have already told my wife to bury me naked in a cardboard or wicker coffin somewhere totally biodegradable.
