My plains ancestors, left just a little of their live's stories. The winds would carry grass fed fires as fast as a horse could run. Then, the buffalo would pass for days, there were so many.

Saw in the news today a family in Tonto Natl. Forest in Arizona swept away in a flash flood. It occurred in a burn zone where you get mud slides because nothing is trapping the water or slowing it down.

A big rain will cause a flood no matter what but the lack of grasses, shrubs and trees just makes it worse.
