Nice pictures of a beautiful area of New England.  I have fond memories of hiking and climbing Mt. Monadanock.  Have you every done any canoeing/kayaking on Tully Lake north of Athol?

Free Range Naturism / Enjoying winter

Watching the snow fall gently outside my window got me to thinking about my approach to my love of being naked and winterís challenges.  Last year I found a lightly used, beautiful beach nearby.  It provides an excellent 4 mile loop down a bike path, through woods and then out to a 1/2 mile, crescent shaped beach.  In the summer I got in the rhythm of a quick skinny dip as part of my walk.  Depending on the time and weather, the dip was often cut short or eliminated by walkers or offshore boats.  This winter itís been very different.  Walkers are few and boaters nonexistent.  So Iíve continued my tradition as the temperature has dropped.  Coldest Iíve ďdippedĒ is an air temp of upper 20ís, wind chill single numbers an water temp mid 30ís.  The dip is truly a dip with me in the water for less than a minute.  Iíve found it surprising how warm the water feels and then how warm the air feels as I come out (at least for a few minutes).   The overall experience has been physically and spiritually uplifting.  Iíve also  snowshoed and cross country skied naked a few times.  Iíd be interested in hearing others experiences and thoughts.  After the sun goes down I think Iíll practice a few naked snow angels.

I havenít done that though I have heard about it.  Do you know if itís still being held?   Most of my hiking has been done in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire.  Iíve even made it to the top of Mount Monadnock naked a couple of times.  Just a few hikes in Vermont and to the Ledges on occasion.

Hello all,

Looking forward  to joining in on the conversation.  Iím afraid I wonít be helping the demographics of this board.  Will be turning 70 this year.  Live in New England and have spent most of my years here. Among my passions are being outside and moving !!! - walking, hiking, kayaking, biking.  Iím probably traveled by my own power at least 10,000 miles over these past fifty years, a surprisingly large number of those naked in relatively populated areas.  At some point maybe I can share some of those adventures much in the wat
jbee has posted his beautiful, western stories.
