We have found a very efficient way to convince some people about naturism. We get naked. In our home 24/7 we all are naked! When we answer the door, when people come in to visit, when family are here, we are naked. All the neighbourhood know about "The nude family @ number 88", we rarely get any bad or stupid comments.
When we leave our home of course we put clothes on, but how many depends on the weather. As long as genitalia are covered we're fine. Last summer our niece (46 years young) wore a bikini top & tiny shorts , I wore just shorts and we went to a local park to wait for her son. As the sun came out better Lisa took off her bikini top and we just stood  there waiting. Most folk who passed by us said nothing, one female who was maybe 10 years younger than Lisa said, "You both look so cool, if I could be so nude in a park I certainly would" Out of maybe 30 people passing we just 1 negative comment. We had one elderly couple smile and say " You are that lovely nudist family! if only we had been so brave, bless you all."
We can totally recommend being open & reliable, it spreads a good idea to your locality and 95% great reactions. This is surely the better way to spread acceptance?

Free Range Naturism / A New Years Wish

There will be many wishes, hopes & dreams for the future and the immediate new year 2018. No doubt as naturists many of us will ask for more places where social nudity is accepted. It is a good & very valid wish, no one will dispute that, hopefully, but we think its going to take a whole lot more than 'wishing' to make it become reality. So our personal wish goes out to each and every person reading this, we hope it will be possible for YOU to just  live much more of every day naked, within your home, and that will be a tremendous step forward. Open your homelife nude, show the world how you prefer to live and that you at least accept naturism as a truthful and realistic lifestyle option.
Maybe it will be so difficult for many of you to do this. The reasons will be very valid and sincerely held, we cannot deny that and would not ask you to put your safety, health or well being at risk. However, there will be millions of naturists who can (and should) make themselves known, just take that step forward, that huge step, saying "I am a naturist, I prefer to be without any form of textile cover, my nakedness is my natural status & birth right, being nude is simply a lifestyle of daily living without any sexual or deviant reason. We all share the same respect and regards to each other as every other person. There is no shame about any part of the human form in its natural state.
So as we step into an other year it is our 'New Years Wish' that many more of you can proudly declare far and near (very near) that "I am a naturist and I much prefer to be naked."

To be nude may well be seen as being more honest, open & revealing to us naturists but it isn't just 'potential' naturists that we need to bring around to accepting social nudity. Society as a whole in the UK and probably the USA just see being naked as either a reason to have sexual activity, (legal or otherwise) or as something lewd, disgusting, harmful to children's moral welfare or just plain filth!
We may set ourselves goals or idealistic ambitions to change the way 'society' perceives social nudity, but we have to be realistic and to see and understand the big obstacles the massive barriers already set firmly en route.
I consider myself truly lucky to have  been born to very open and caring 'nudist' parents, our family lived in very open and loving  way, we had very many traditional 'Yorkshire Grit' values & loyalties to our local neighbourhood & the wider society, but we also realised and accepted that we would, as a nudism family, be treated differently even 'suspiciously' by many areas of society. In all of the 66 years since my birth I will agree that there has been a massive change in the way nudist people are seen or 'regarded' but there are still many million millions of true 'textiles' out there who represent a pretty solid barrier to  acceptable social nudist freedom. My wife & I live (along with our family) as naturists for as many hours each day as we can, people know when coming into our house that they will see family nakedness, that is just the way it is. When any family anywhere in the world can live that way without any obstructions or interruptions, then we could be just a few more steps towards true social naturism.

An illustration of the threat to liberty in the UK posed by a law that was never intended to do this - basically any tinpot official can make up their own laws if they don’t like something. Frightening

I had walked naked onto my apartments balcony, up on 3rd floor, at 5 am on 2 separate mornings. First time to put my plant tubs back upright, which took around 30 seconds. Second time was a few days later when I saw two sea birds sitting quite calmly on our table! Again I was out no more than a few  seconds, but some how 5 individual (anonymous) people saw me  and felt offended enough to tell the police!  I didn't see anyone, it was very early daytime and just becoming daylight.
Four days  later two PCSO's (part time temporaries) came to the manager of our apartment block and claimed I had acted indecently.
I protested loud and clear, I was NOT indecent, I strongly objected to mysterious and nocturnal prudes craning their vision skywards to be offended by my  fleeting appearance. The officers smiled and advised caution on my part, I advised passers by who were ashamed of their own names, to just travel forwards looking forwards and avoid peering onto dwellings property.

Now that's a paradox indeed!
How easy it is for men and women to self identify as the opposite gender when there are clothes, wigs and make up to signify gender.  How difficult when naked.

In the US, I think you could just list yourself as "female" on the application and they wouldn't be allowed to question it.  The PC crazies are pretty strange.

You would have to use the women's restrooms at the club though.

My ex told me about a popular nightclub where she works, apparently her male boss sometimes "drags up" and works a full shift as a fairly attractive woman. He uses the female 'restroom' and not one customer has realised yet that they have a man with them as they 'adjust' their clothing or leave doors open when they chat to a friend & sit on the toilet.

I have a feeling that  a lack of naked diners will herald the demise of these places. Thus sending in the wealthy textile masses to feed and entertain guests to impress them. (expense account feeding for the 'city' folk

Typical French haut style - beautiful modern restaurant.  The UK Bunyadi was something of a hovel by comparison I understand, being originally done on the cheap as an experiment.

Trends soon become either 'The Norm' or immediately cast into a quagmire of forgotten swamp like journalism. Somehow I feel that whilst naked dinning will survive generally, the restaurants will soon return to traditional clothed & extortionate trading in London, Paris and other worldwide cities

It is so pleasant to be able to say that your life is an open book.

One of my naturist friends has repeatedly told me the story, which for all I know is true, that when Franklin Roosevelt and Winston Churchill had their first wartime conference, Churchill appeared naked in the doorway of Roosevelt's room, and said, "You can see, Mr President, that I have nothing to hide!" Roosevelt supposedly roared with laughter. Guys could get away with things like that in those days.

It seems that not only was Churchill a history maker in politics he broke new ground in 'diplomacy'. Somehow I don't imagine that scene could be re-enacted today!

I put ups such signs on my land.   Haven't seen anyone walking about though.

Thank you, now we need other land/buildings owners to step up & tell us, where is your property & is it 'nude only' or 'clothes optional'.
It would be great if owners of large stores & markets had one day each month clothes optional or naked people only !

Owners of places where nude is ok should make themselves known to naturist organizations. (here in UK & in all countries such as USA). Open hiking land, camping grounds or places of general public activity. Theatres & cinema's, bowling places, parkland or beach area's. It would be wise in most cases such as theatres and cinemas to have separate events, unless they advertise as "CLOTHES OPTIONAL".  If a major company such as these 'came on-board' and helped in someway to make social nudism ok, I reckon all society would gain, ultimately .

It's been a fairly average month, we don't get out too much so most things  happen at home or at places where we have appointments. We did go to a 'clothes optional' 50th birthday party, around 6 naked folk including me, maybe 5 fully clothed and 1 woman who just stripped her top half off. Excellent party with great food, good background music & booze for whoever wanted it. It was one of those rare times when naked & clothed people just mixed casually and calmly, no problem at all. I felt uncomfortable putting things on to go home, my niece remained 'topless' for the 20 mile drive home, just after midnight it was no big deal at all, even dropping us two back home.

It is just a body, a curious entity, a common vehicle to navigate this life, with billions of variations that are  constantly changing.
When did anyone hear, see or know of any totally naked person (presumably male?) attack or assault anyone, least of all a clothed person in a street/park/activity area?  Unless I am mistaken I would think that a naked person is much more vulnerable to pain & harm. What is the problem with approximately 5% of the population being allowed to peacefully coexist naked  in society?

Attitudes towards nakedness varied quite a lot through the 60's & 70's, ranging from the 'free love' & "flower power" genres to the stricter 'Mary Whitehouse' puritanical groups who thought we were " on our way to hell in a handcart". As always we survived an so did naturists and all the variety of "clothed-semi clothed-naked" peoples with their own dogmatic principles & their periods of 'preaching' or 'persuading'.  We are now in a brighter era (I think?) where we are generally more tolerant, the barriers between us all are being made invisible, only to surface when anyone becomes again 'dogmatic & devoutly principled'. So to summarise we all should just 'live and let live' without the domineering and dictatorial 'do-gooders'.
If your life is textile, fine. If your life is clothes optional that's fine too. If your life is naked that should be fine too.  Why can't those who oppose nakedness in public places just realise and accept there is no danger or threat to them & their children, there are no immoral dangerously deviant acts performed by every nude you see. To take a phrase from the 60's or the 70's why not just live and let live to "Give Peace A Chance"

Body acceptance was once an issue for me, only once! As funny as it maybe (considering my entire life as a naturist) when I joined a local club I saw all the posers and the very 'athletic types' that stole the attention, soon made me pause and ponder my own body. After about 24 hours including a sleepless night, I reverted to my 'Yorkshire' roots and took the attitude of "What You See Is What You Get" , the time wasted over my own 'body confidence' is consigned to history.
Just be happy, be as healthy as you can, just relax & be naturally naked.
