Don't expect politicians to be any better than we ourselves.

Arkansas sounds like a great place to live. Are only Republicans allowed to vote?

Arkansas is the home of Bill and Hillary Clinton.   Bill was Governor.

Perhaps your political conjecture is mistaken.

Arkansas had a lot of influence from the Rockefeller's in its development. That falls into moneyed politics. That then falls into the Clintons. The Clintons should be judged by their actions and what they did in office, very Republican, beholding to the rich and that power. They never really walked their talk. Can't go any further here.

Yes, Bill and Hillary are the center of the Democratic National Party and run the DNC.   Totally they define Democrat.   Former Governor of Arkansas.

A Rockefeller was also governor of West Virginia. Aren't there any more Rockefellers?

. . . places like Arkansas where it's illegal even to discuss public nudity . . .
I’ve browsed on websites that list many odd, stupid, outdated and hilarious laws still on the books in just about every state. Some so strange, it is difficult to try and come up with a reason for the law.

But in Arkansas;
Quote
“It is unlawful for any:
   (1)  Person, club, camp, corporation, partnership, association, or organization to advocate, demonstrate, or promote nudism;
. A law that prohibits specific types of speech is actually on the books there.

We had a few posts regarding this piece of news  see here. Dumb laws are humorous and interesting because we all know they come from a time when the offences no longer apply. But to see a state pass a law in recent memory that clearly abridges the single most important of the guaranteed rights in our constitution, that is amazing.
As a result, I would never think that Arkansas is a great place to live as long as that law remains in place. Fortunately those responsible have passed on to a better place (hopefully) and with any luck, those that remain will fix this law.

Actually, Bill is from Arkansas and herself is from Illinois. She merely honed his rough edges and showed him where his true talents lay. He learned the more skilled tactics from her. Peas in a pod. They hold allegiance to no political party save their own.

The one in Arkansas went there to be a big fish in a small pond. He was that and finally saw some of the success that he couldn't get in New York. His moiety and resources had a big impact on a state that was failing in just about every way, back in the 60's and 70's.

With any luck, no. Just as much a blessing if there are no more Kennedy, Bush or any other dynastic family that has convinced itself that the universe would spin off into oblivion without their steady hand on the tiller. Inbreeding is going to kill us if there is.

Well, Trump has a son, not that there's going to be another presidential election. At least he's never held an elected office before, so that qualifies him as an excellent candidate right there. Unfortunately, he's only been married once, which means he is lacking in experience. He is divorced, however, which shows promise.
