Emerald lake resort Houston - Any reviews?
« on: January 16, 2018, 05:41:59 PM »
Hi guys, I’m going to be working in the Houston area for a few weeks and was looking for nearby camps or clubs where I could spend some quality naked weekends. I came across the Emerald Lake Resort which peaked my interest, but found mixed reviews online. Has anyone from the site visited and is it worth checking out? TIA Dicky :)

Tanman or Lisa pop in here and there. He was involved with a club in that area for awhile and seemed to really enjoy it. He had done reports but they were lost with TSNS.

Anybody recall which resort her was talking about?

Don’t forget Safebare. I believe he’s also in the Houston area.
He was reporting in on the hurricane Harvey events.

I seem to recall Larry mentioning Lone Star . . . . resort, ranch something like that.
It had the word star in it. That was a long time ago Jbee, you’re asking a lot. :)

Wasn't Larry Tanman from Austin?
But...also creaky memory...didn't he move somewhere with Lisa Kayaker?
Didn't they go to Hippie Hollow? I quote from googling:
Quote
Hippie Hollow Park is a park located on the shore of Lake Travis in northwest Austin. It is the only legally recognized clothing-optional public park in the State of Texas. Wikipedia

Address: 7000 Comanche Trail, Austin, TX 78732, USA

Hope that's helpful.

John, Larry’s barn property he once had was near Lake Sommerville, which is about halfway between Houston and Austin. He probably visited Lake Travis while staying there at the barn. I do recall him mentioning living near Houston.

Safebare, how’s the rehab going? Hope you are back up and ambulatory!

Thanks Duane and others for thinking of me. Life has been busy lately, and I am ambulatory. The feet complain often, but they get me where I need to go. I have retired the handicap placards on the vehicles.
Emerald Lakes is just North of Houston (Porter). I have never been there but have spoken to many that are familiar with them. Mostly have heard very good reviews. The negatives seem to come from a perceived homophobic attitude. They do not acknowledge same sex couples in thier admission fee structure and may refuse entry of single males if gender balance gets too skewed.
The 'Star' is Star Ranch, in McDade, over an hour west of Houston on the way to Austin. Haven't been there either, as I am more of a free ranger. But everything I've heard about them is excellent.
There are other venues around here, but can't share anything personally on them either. But if the weather cooperates, you might find me on Lake Somerville or Galveston Bay, getting a good dose of vitamin D while sailing Amanda Lou.
Be Safe,
Safebare
