We went in search of water to play in last July. This is what we found.

Very nice, JBG. You've posted enough trip reports now that I almost feel as if I've walked with you and DF!

JB,

It appears DF has either changed jobs or is now retired. After so many years of seeing only her back side it is great to see both your faces. Now more than ever it feels as though we are hiking with you. It is interesting that though we see all else we don't know you until we see your face.

She hasn't retired. She feels that it is an important message and wants to expand other's liberation. She also realizes that the odds of repercussions are very small. What she is doing is not immoral and couldn't actually effect her job performance. She also realizes that our website isn't viral with millions and those very few who might stumble upon it and know her, already know her lifestyle, have already seen her without clothes, and she just doesn't care. It's her body, just her body, no shame, a liberation and authentic. It is a truth. I admire her strength in her individuality and honesty. I think that it often comes through in the reports. She's very nearly retired, now.

Speaking of authentic, we think that it does add authenticity and an "if I can, you can, it's safe" attitude to the message.

Yup, another clear case of, "I didn't recognize you with your clothes on."  ::)

You are both an inspiration to us all, especially DF as one assumes it is somewhat more challenging for a woman to shed all inhibitions about being observed whether in the flesh or in a picture.  As an example of that, I remember several reports of the past where you have both been carnuding but at certain points where you both can be observed, DF has covered her torso whereas you haven't needed to.  Another example in the opposite sense was recently at the nudist swim, one lady was naked but wore a towel that didn't quite cover her torso to groin completely and thus, ridiculously wandered around with bits of her poking through or the towel dropping off simply to maintain some sort of assumed modesty amongst everyone else that was naked (except the lifeguard! :) ).  It would have been so much better for her dignity and poise if she had simply dropped the pretence of a cover up.  Df is self-liberated well beyond that stage and proud to be naked in nature and therefore her dignity and poise when naked are unchallengeable.

There is that "good girls don't do this" thing for women, but we know that there is also often a better acceptance for women. We naturists all have our hurdles.

I'm naked with my genitals wholly exposed, and prominent, being evaluated for size sometimes. There is that lone pervert stigma that a man has trust on him, and he must get over the fear of that reaction, confident that it is the others problem and projection.

There is body acceptance, for both sexes, "Oh, my thighs," "I'd better suck it in" textile or non, for example a simple, shoulders back, don't slouch.

Women have their stuff tucked away generally, so that it is often even covered by merely a tuft of hair. Lots of people enjoy a nude woman and will accept that, even be pleased to have them around. On the other hand gawkers.

There is that, "Will they think that my nudity is a sexual thing" for both sexes.

There is the effective strategy of acting as if there is nothing amiss, which works wonders. Confidence, dignity, self assurance, being friendly are good strategies for all hikers and people on the street when they meet others.

Insecurity/confidence, seem to be part of the human condition, not just for the naked. For some, nakedness is the key to overcome it all.

Thoughts,
