Beautiful! People don't really get upset.

The news report was okay with it, but made it out to be eccentric and she laughed. Oh well, better than outraged, like there was something wrong, or the guy had mental problems.

I wonder how her felt. Out of place? a tad nervous? He seemed relaxed.

Probably more a Vermont thing. The news there has reports of guys doing stunts like this like once a year it seems. I wonder how often that it happens though. The news reports can't be the only instances. People aren't calling the police. This one got on because somebody got filmed and somebody got it to the news, somehow. I should think that most people wouldn't go to the trouble.

Probably not the first time that his guy bought a cup of coffee...  ;D

...or even went nude in a store.

Good for them all.  Make casual nudity common place.  Not worth bothering to photo.

It's a Vermont thing folks. In Vermont it is legal to be nude in public. However it is illegal to get nude in public.  There are a few exceptions, in Burlington it is illegal to be nude in a city park. In Brattleboro they have a bylaw that precludes nudity. That was enacted back in the (90s?) after new reports of local teens hanging out nude in a parking lot playing musical instruments, and skate boarding etc.. After the news report several guys came in from out of state and would walk around the downtown area nude. The small businesses felt it created a negative atmosphere for their other customers. I have done a multitude of nude hikes, and biking in Vermont over the past years, as well as the WNBR in Montpelier. Now that I'm in Florida (still nude hiking) I miss the freedom of not having to worry about encounters. If only all states were so tolerant. If you check some of John P's post he has reported this as well.

I have often thought of doing this, if it were legal. In a more perfect world, it should be common.

The thought comes, usually in the summer heat, when clothing is a crazy thing, and a burden. I'd be more likely to do it after spending time at a more usual nude activity.

For now, I'll have to project myself into the situation. Would I feel self-conscious, or liberated and comfortable? Would there be an overwhelming nervousness, a rush? Would I just ignore the inevitable attention, or be bothered by it? A supermarket is different from a sleepy little convenience store. Would I feel more comfortable with someone else with me?

How much getting used to would it take?

I have been in resorts walking, shopping, in the bar and gathering rooms, barefoot all over. I have felt a liberation, and a little more naked than usual in the unusual setting. It was good, and fun, then. But that wasn't in a usually clothed environment.
It is a shadow that I would like to face. It would tell me a lot about myself. I would learn that, but would become more comfortable in my skin, to experience myself in my natural state.
