An event to look forward to is the 2020 HONAT (hiking Oregon Naturally Annual Tour) the first week in September. This will be a group camp and day hike experience utilizing llama's for packing in the heavier gear to the Eagle Cap Wilderness of the Wallawa Mts. of NE Oregon. Early September in the Wallawas means lower water for stream crossings, no snow on the higher elevations, no mosquitoes and dryer meadows for camping. We will be setting up a base camp after the first day of hiking, sleeping in tents, making scenic day hikes the next three days, and hiking out to the trail head on the last day. Food and cooking will be provided by the group bringing the llamas (us).
