Looks like lots of nice greenery after the rains some.

Yup, overgrown and verdant. The most lush desert in the world.

All those plants must spring up and bloom at incredible speed.  How long does it take after rains for the non-woody plants to spring up and bloom?
Good that you are getting some rain in the desert.  We are just entering drought conditions in the UK!

Yea, fire in Bordeaux!

Depends on the plants. Some seem to respond just to the humidity. Many, or most, a few days as green buds and then spring up mature with blooms within a week. A lone plant, edible, tortoise love them, sprung up by my new fig tree that I water daily. It was a seven foot diameter mass in about two weeks. Good in salad. A wild amaranth shot up to eight feet high in two weeks. The more water and time and they go nuts. They seem to stay mature and flowering for as long as the monsoon continues, once established.  Wild mustard will be hip high within a week. These grow in my yard as weeds. I let a few go and eat them as a crop.
