One of the things I miss since retirement is the commute home carnuding. To be honest and due to the odd shift hours it was done mostly in the dark.
As for wearing a kilt; most comments I have heard have been positive. September and October I often wear a “Kilted to kick cancer” shirt to remind both men and women to get checked or tested.

I use my grey Kilted kilt most of the time when carnuding and when I need a quick wrap, like when someone is at the door, or I need to do something in the front yard by the street. It gets wadded up and sat on for hours and never loses its pleat or looks wrinkled.

Good to hear from you nudewalker. To bad we couldn't have gotten together when DF and I traveled through Ohio. Man! you get some torrential rains and humidity there in the summer.
I did get to se some of those mowed paths in the woods.

I walked into a gas station to pay and thel guy behind the counter said, "Is that a camouflage kilt? Wow, that's sick." I was confused, not sure of his meaning, but he saw that and said, "No, that's good."

A meeting in Ohio would have been great! And I hope the two of you got to enjoy those mowed pathways. Things here have been touch and go with health issues so free range time has been severely limited. So keep up the postings as I’m living vicariously through you for the time being.

Sad and sympathetic hearing about the "health issues."

May you soon be able to get on the other side of those obstacles and head south for a break this year.

I'll keep posting.

I've gotten comments from others that do vicarious reading on my website. One is in a wheelchair, too immobile to free range.  Glad that I can at least do that for a few people.

You have a healthy mobile future to envision. I suggest you read some of your own past posts here and get a smile, as your memory smells and tastes those tales.  ;)

I second that, wishing you a successful recovery, Nudewalker.  Hopefully, whatever your issues are, they will resolve in due course.
Correspondence on the forum is a bit thin at the moment but hopefully you will also have a bit more vicariousness to read very soon, I trust.  That's the trouble with encroaching winter - we naturists tend to hibernate a bit!!

Why hibernate, when there can be an a outlet from the cold by participating in discussion here?...naked! There is a bridge between warm to warm to be had, unless one really gets to feeling down about the weather and drowns in the cold winter stream.

Speaking of carnuding, DF's landlord put a fence gate up at the street. We can't drive nude between each other's houses without getting out of the car to open it. I wrote to him to complain with other reasons to not have the gate, or make it electric.
Ironically, it is there for "privacy" and security, which it does neither.

I guess it's a personal thing, but I'm quite happy in tee-shirt and shorts when I'm in the car. I did try a brief car-nude after one of my rambles but it didn't feel worth trying more than once. Similarly nude cycling. Glad I tried it but there were just too many points at which I felt the need to cover up. I do feel frustrated having to be dressed on a boat on a sunny day though.

I'm curious why or where you felt the need to cover up while driving a car?   Or was that just while nude bicycling?    I've done quite a bit of both driving a car naked and bicycling naked. I usually only feel a need to cover up when my trip is ended at a parking area where I need to get out of my car or off my bicycle, as at a store or trailhead area.  Do you feel a need to cover up while driving naked?   While bicycling?

Sorry, I didn't make that clear. I really meant the cycling, and it was quite a while ago before I became more comfortable with the prospect of being seen naked, at least while walking. Having said that, when cycling you cover quite a lot of ground quickly, and in England that means passing people quite frequently and at short notice.

Over the years, I've driven my own vehicles nude many, many miles. But, as a truck driver, I was hesitant for a long time to drive the truck nude. One concern was related to weigh stations, where I have to pass by the operator's windows and/or in view of cameras. Another was pulling into a crowded truck stop nude. It's not safe to try to put clothes on while driving a 65-foot, 80,000 pound vehicle (or a half-ton compact car, either, for that matter), without coming to a stop first.

But, I finally started to get past those concerns last summer. Driving through the desert, I stopped at a remote pull-out for a scheduled load check, and before starting out again, I took off shorts and t-shirt, put them on the passenger seat, and drove off. Shortly after that, I spent a weekend at DeAnza Springs resort. They have truck parking space inside the resort, and have truckers there often...bless them!! When I got ready to leave early Monday morning, I did the quiet parts of my pre-trip inspection nude. Then, I drove out of the resort and onto the mile or so gravel road, where I could do the light-flashing, noisier parts of the inspection without bothering anyone. It was still a couple hours before dawn, so I did that nude, too. Then, I got in and drove nude to south Texas over the next three days. When I had to enter weigh stations and border patrol check stations, I just laid my t-shirt across my lap. I figured if they looked, they'd probably know I was nude, but I wouldn't be exposing anything. When I pulled into truck stops, I parked, and just eased into the sleeper cab while keeping my waistline below the window line, and put on my shorts and shirt.

Now that the weather's warm again, I've been wearing my new Running Kilt while driving a lot. Since I got it weekend before last, I probably haven't worn any kind of pants for more than three hours total in a week and a half! But, the last several days, I've just left the kilt on the bunk and driven in just a t-shirt. I've even gone through a few Aquatic Invasive Species checkpoints (I haul boats)  completely "bottom-free". Those folks are typically on foot, so when I park, they walk up to the driver's door, and we pass paperwork back and forth and talk while I sit in the seat. I half to admit, I kind of get a charge out of talking face-to-face with state wildlife officers while I'm naked from the waist down!

So, now, I'm having trouble finding reasons not to be nude while driving the truck, unless I'm going to be at a shipper or reciever during the next leg of driving. It's just too darn comfortable to drive nude!
Have a blessed NUDE day!

Having said that, when cycling you cover quite a lot of ground quickly, and in England that means passing people quite frequently and at short notice.

I often enjoy cycling naked.  Yes, I travel a lot more ground in less time than walking, and perhaps encounter more other people, but there is a lot less time to interact with the clothists I pass.  On a bicycle I can be there and gone before the clothists have time to object -- not that most would object but why give them time to think about it.  I can always stop and chat if someone asks me to stop.  Of course this isn't England, but there is always other people on popular bicycle/foot trails.

The more often people see naked cyclists or walkers, the more quickly it will become an unremarkable experience for everyone.   Being seen by more people is better.  .

RiverNude: "It's just too darn comfortable to drive nude!"

Yup, longer drives just make no sense at all.

RiverNude:"Those folks are typically on foot, so when I park, they walk up to the driver's door, and we pass paperwork back and forth and talk while I sit in the seat. Most of the time it is just an imposition to have to dress or cover. Sometimes, it does feel daring, getting away with an action, even though it shouldn't feel daring, after all, its natural, comfortable and nobody's business but our own. Otherwise, I believe that it gives a sense of liberation.

JBee, you're right about the fact that it should feel natural, rather than daring, and it does feel natural. But, the doing what's natural in spite of convention, laws, etc. is the reward. I'm sure that a certain group of colonists got a "charge" out of getting one over on King George's troops once in a while! LOL!

HA! the "conventional" have declared a sort of war on us, haven't they? It's like speeding on the open highway.

Are you familiar with Rudyard Kipling's "A Pict Song"? If they let their guard down just a little, we always eat at their cloak some way. Destroying the fabric of society, literally. ;D

Hope nobody across the pond is offended. Ol' King George has never gotten much positive press in these parts.
