If you drove down to the boat ramp at Lake Amistad, you passed a loop road, navigable in your Civic, with picnic areas and paths to coves where I have been able to sun and swim nude for years. Hopefully next time you’ll try them out.

It didn't look like much potential by looking at it from satellite. It looked barren, open and no significant geological features to hide any nude frolicking. The roads didn't look like Honda Civic. I remember thinking my SUV would have been good. I wish that I had known what you tell me. We were looking for an extra night or two, swimming and sunning in that water.

Is the water as clear as it looks?

Not sure which boat ramp Bill's referring to, since I'm always in the truck and can't explore those spots. But, when I'm running empty back from CA/AZ/NM, I usually run down US-285, then US-90 to Del Rio on my way to Pharr, TX. On the north shore, where US-90 crosses Amistad, there's a gravel area where I park the truck for a break and a visit to the lake. It's a public access point, but the trail to the water is too rugged for anything much bigger than a kayak.

In warm months (that's most months down there), I spend a while skinny-dipping and sitting in the sun. It's not a place for wandering the shore nude, but the terrain provides lots of "dead space" along small coves. I usually pick a spot right below the US-90 bridge. It's too nearly beneath the bridge to be seen by passing motorists, unless you swim a good ways out from shore.

It is in open sight from the train tracks, so I've been seen nude on the rocks by the train crew a few times, if they were paying attention. That's usually a surprise, since the terrain muffles the sound of the train until it's right there. Since I've been surprised by it a couple times, it's now a challenge to myself, to hear the train early enough to turn around and be waving when it comes into view.

And, yes, Jbee, the water is gin-clear! If you visit right after a heavy rain event, it might be a tad cloudy, but most of the time it's very clear. Be aware, the shore and bottom in the area I'm talking about is very steep. Be prepared to go from wading to no-bottom within a step or two!
Have a blessed NUDE day!

If you're referring to my comments, that would be fine with me. Do you want some pics?

No pics, unless you'd like to make a post/report about it on my website.

Thank-you,

Any dressed at all is different. Not much nudity to post but some carnuding pics that we didn't take.

It'll be curious to see the response, between this one and San Antonio. We had to get across ridiculously huge Texas and there wasn't much to do naked, but drive. Sorry to have missed any skinnydipping and camping at Amstad.

Getting back into the wilder west and the Big Bend gave us more opportunity. Gotta love the wide open spaces.

We are in the middle of our two birthdays, 16 year anniversary. We have put on a Taurus party for several of us and a special sweat, will have special days on actual B-days. This weekend, three days absolutely nude celebrating each others days. There will be warm/hot weather at the hot springs. Maybe, we can get a pic in our Birthday suits at yet another cake, there and post.

Let's see, next post has me naked and DF not...50%. The one after that will have only two in clothes and after that properly attired.
