Welcome to the forum. There's a few of us from the UK here. I live in North Birmingham and enjoy home and free range naturism.

Hi Nottsman.
I live in the E Midlands too.  Do you go to any naturist clubs or places in the region? Do you have any good locations for a naked walk?
I have a yen to find a club or a place where I can be naked for a bit without all the usual stresses of walking in a place where there is a high probability of a negative encounter.

Hi,
I did join visit Lakeside in Spilsby, a great caravan and camping site a few years ago for a weekend, really nice place, I do know of some naturists who ramble round Sherwood Forest, they are worth contacting, for now though I am naked at home when it is warm enough

Yes, I'm targeting a visit to Spilsby this year.  Maybe an early visit late April when the weather perks up.  If that's good there's then the summer to make a repeat visit or two.
Trouble with naturist clubs is that the reason for going there is solely to be naked and "relax".  Whist doing virtually nothing for a day may be restorative and having a few hours of unrestricted nakedness is great.....it can be a bit boring for the mind.  It's a bit of a principle of mine that naturism (for me) is being able to do things freely whilst naked rather than the other way round where the thing you do is solely being naked.  So (for me) running the household, doing gardening, DIY and the thousand and one domestic duties that being a householder entails is immeasurably better when done naked.  Having a naked walk in nature is equally splendid.  But going somewhere simply to be naked is a bit lack lustre, I find.  Nudism is living life naked rather than being naked for naked's sake yet not having anything to occupy the body and mind.
My other issue with basking in the sun in a club is that I'm a terrible sunbather.  I have very pale skin so burn easily and for reasons above, just sitting about sunbathing makes me itch to do something else more fulfilling!
The best thing for such occasions is to have like-minded friends to go with, which I lack (except perhaps our coleague forum member Yeldew whom I have been out woodland walking with on a few occasions).  That's why the Abbey House visits were good - there was at least one or two forum friends there to chat to all afternoon.

However, being more positive, when I go to Spilsby, I shall take reading matter, stuff to listen to on my phone and do some yoga and walking about the place, which should fill a happy hour or three!

As you know Nuduke, I have always said that, "everything is better naked." I should elaborate now, that I think that that includes boredom...I suppose that it includes idle campsites. Is there a lake, or swimming pool at that place? Volleyball, tennis, table tennis billiards, pool, jigsaw puzzles, or gym?

By your description, the place would be confining torture when clothed. An open air prison.

Yah, I know what you mean. They all just talk about nudity, what clubs and cruises that they've been to, etc. AND it takes a while to make friends, to find commonality, feel others out.

Definitely, John. Going somewhere just to be naked is a bit limited - doing something, anything, but doing it naked is"naturism" for me, too.
