The river trip reminded me of some treks around here. Here, mostly shallow enough to walk, but one must make constant choices because of the not so shallow spots. So, progress is slowed, but it is an entertaining more challenging trek with more dimensions. We can spend the better part of a day in Arivaipa Canyon and make only a handful of miles, but they are quality.

The one best consistent choice is not to wear clothing and have effective shoes. Clothing just doesn't make sense to me AND it feels so good and natural with the air, radiant sun and water.
Good hiking and good PR for the naturists.
Thank-you'

I never fail to marvel at the superb landscapes you hike in Jean-Marie,
Being amongst the clouds in the second one Balisage montagne de Paille, yet warm and sunny is way outside my experience to date.
I'm thinking I ought to visit one or two of your superb hikes one day.
About how many Km / hours do you walk on average  - say in these two examples?  I ask because my walking range has been badly affected in the last 2 years by a dropped metatarsal bone in my left foot.

These two hikes are not perfect examples. The first because walking in water is slower than on a path. You're generally looking at a speed of 4 to 5 km per hour, 2 to 3 on a steep ascent and 1 km with your feet in the water. The second was because it was a signposting course, with lots of stops to mark the way.
