I think I waxed lyrical about the Aucelon stream after you posted the first blog, JMF.
I can't get over how crystal clear the water is in that river. The route must be well above sources of pollution.
Do you get very cold wading through the water for long periods?

very cold, no...cold, +/- yes. I think the temp of the water was approximately 15C

Depth and shade make a big difference. When naked, the layers of temperature from toes to head can be felt better. In the heat, a good stretch of flow in direct sun can make a big difference.

It looks to be a place that I would love to explore and camp in. Such wild and maybe somewhat pristine places in Europe aren't known to exist. I was surprised. We tend to think of Europe as crowded and used.
