That happened a few times. The "This Is the BEER Thread", being one in particular.

The subject of BEER, the drinking of BEER, the homebrewing of BEER kept popping up so frequently that someone, I think it was Ian, started the aforementioned thread.

It was an attempt to keep all the BEER posts in one spot.

OK, having read this thread the chances of TSNS coming back seem to be nil, so I registered. Sorry Ian (milfmog) for not replying to your email and thanks for the heads up. I thought Lookee had forgotten to renew as he has done plenty of times before about this time of year. Obviously I was wrong and it was more serious than that.

Although I'm grateful to Lookee keeping the site going for so long I always thought it was slightly odd that he had at least one other site devoted to exhibitionism, which is just about the opposite of the principles of the TSNS.

Although the demise of TSNS is sad this site seems a very good new home to me, and what better hosts than Karla and Stuart? It's good to see so many familiar names here. I think freerange naturism is as good a description for what we do as secret naturism was. In fact I believe the "secret" part could be taken a little too literally when it mainly meant naturism outside of designated areas - exactly what freerange means.

Get any two free-range or secret naturists together and you will end up with at least three definitions.
I think that one needs to be firmly kicked into the long grass together the the thousands of versions of the distinction between a nudist and a naturist.

I'm still about. I was on holiday with a limited wifi capacity and on return found I couldn't get into TSNS. I remembered this site but forgot the name of it but fortunately I found  a copy of my previous favorites. (now in current favorites)

My definition would have to be based on the terms themselves.   Nudist to me says just nude,  no qualifications.  It could be non sexual or sexual based,  it could be private/secret or exhibition style.     Naturist would indicate in harmony with nature,   which is non sexual except in appropriate situations (with the wife/husband in private)   It indicates an overall lifestyle in harmony with nature,  not just going naked as God intended when He created all nature.     Not necessarily applied to just those who have arrived,  but also to those who desire to go there and do that even if we haven't made a lot of progress or just getting started.    The ultimate naturist lives with nature without harming nature, being the caretaker we were instructed to be originally,   as much as possible given the corrupted fallen conditions.      I see it kind of hard for someone to pursue a fully naturist lifestyle in a city,  where the surroundings are very anti-nature.    Someplace where one can grow their food, or most of it, and live simply with minimal use of scarce resources is more along the line of naturism,  while doing it naked as possible is just the dressing.   Icing on the cake.

Interesting analysis.  One note for clarification.    I can't live in harmony with corrupted nature.     Clean pure nature as God created it and as I imagine the garden of Eden was I can live in harmony with.     Buzzworms and I don't get along very well, copperheads either,  the rest of the snake world that lives around here are my friends.    Horse flies I despise and kill as often as possible.  Mosquito's are the devils GMO inventions.  They try to do second hand what he would like to do first hand but isn't allowed to.   They are therefore little devil bugs which I treat just like I'd like to treat the devil himself .  wack!                 The air gets cold,  and I have to keep warm,   so burning wood is the most practical way to do that.  Imperfect life I put up with just to survive in this world.    In the garden it didn't get cold.   I'm vegetarian because the Bible indicates God gave such a diet to our original parents, and science tells me a plant diet is best for my health.  I plan on growing all my own food soon,  because I want it all grown nutrient dense style, (the quality from the grocery store is terrible)  and because I know hard times are near at hand and I can't depend on the store long term anyway.

Very good Stuart. I've always preferred naturist because it suggests being naked in nature, which is good enough for me.

I try to avoid labels as there is no such thing as one size fits all. I n other words I would be a nudist by definition but since Mrs. Walker will not attend clubs social aspect is out. A naturist maybe is a closer definition but as much as I try to be a ward of the earth some of my habits are wasteful. The WNBR is on my bucket list but it is hard to justify the expense in petrol to protest the oil industry. Although I do support the idea of making cycling safer in this country. Other labels I've had over the years include Hippy, Liberal, Democrat, Christian, Blue collar and Hoopie! Can't I just be a person who just doesn't like to wear and most times feels uncomfortable in clothing.

Good blog, Stuart.   I quit calling myself a "nudist" when I dropped out of AANR because of their "like minded" attitudes and published demands for conforming behaviors, as well as their lack of support for "free range" nudity.   I also have similar troubles with the term "Naturist" because that can have so many other meanings from the "Eco" groups.   

So I'm not a "nudist" or "naturist."  I just enjoy going naked whenever possible at home and in the world, but not in fenced in compounds.  I wanted to go to the WNBR but it was all about BR and not so much about WN.  Ten miles or more up some of the steepest hills they could find.  Nope, I'm too old and can't do that. So I go around my land naked, drive naked into town, go to the beach naked, and whenever I don't think I'll get arrested.  Carpe Diem!
