In view of the increased traffic likely to result from the SNS invasion, I wonder whether it would be a good idea to have a PayPal donations link where we invaders can contribute to the site costs.

An increase in traffic at any forum is normal. But I would hazard a guess that the historical rate of increase here over time has been blown into the rough by the recent influx.

I would have no problem contributing to defray costs.

I enjoyed my tour of that link much of the afternoon, with some spinoffs from it. I don't use FB, twitter, or those social media. I thought to link my site into them, but there is the inherent loss of my privacy. I just don't accept that. It wasn't long before I stumbled onto your stuff, Bob.

The link here and there need to be posted on that site to add to the choirs range, by a member. Hint, hint.

There were many useful ideas for promoting nudity there. I made notes.

It has been over 3 months since the "recent unpleasantness" that precipitated our arrival. So many of us have landed here from the foundering of our previous site that I fear it would change the look and feel of any site.

I hope we haven't driven away any of the previous members. I can't help but notice that the only ones posting are those from the old site and those new to us that have joined since the event. Maybe it's just a coincidence since many people travel in the summer, or maybe everyone has nodded off in all the white noise of recent chatter.

There were a few from TSNS that visited here before things went wonky. I used to check there and here on a regular basis. The old site for the daily conversation and this one for the different outlook I got from the reports of travels in different locales.

Well, I certainly hope that participation from the older members picks back up. It can only improve the flavor.

We've had no problems with bandwidth so far. We have a pretty high allowance and with the site being quite picture heavy the largely text based forum barely makes a dent on it. So while the offer is appreciated, it's unnecessary for now.

I back up the forum every day or so by downloading it onto one of two different hard disks (depends if I am in Windows or Linux when I do it).

When I used to run a really busy forum I used to do it twice a day.

Please let us know when we need to club together to buy you bigger backup disks.

It depends on what kind of backup it is. Full, Partial or Differential. If you are doing all the above it can run into a lot of disk space.

Oddly, Sen. Everet Dirksen's oft quoted misquote seems particularly prescient:
