Completely unremarkable month so far.  Very disappointed that we have had a record cold April and May with rain. strong winds etc etc.  By this time in May the summer should be knocking on the door...but it isn't. Garden nudity virtually zilch... although not zero!  We have but to hope that the law of weather averages brings us some nice weather.  I am waiting patiently for a fine day after a couple of dry days to try the local walk naked, that I discovered a few weeks ago.

I know how you feel. I have actually had quite a bit of time in the garden, a couple of wild swims combined with runs and a couple of walks - but that has meant braving cooler conditions for much of the time.

Just over two weeks ago I went ski-ing instead on the Lake District hills! Two days, and a first for me ski-ing in England in May. I did manage a skinny dip in Brother’s Water on the way back the first day. The second day was nice enough that it would have been tempting to have a naked ski, but I wasn’t that brave with all the spectators!

This today, I have hardly been out the house, as every time I have looked it has been raining.  :(

I remember rain, vaguely. I used to like to run out and dance in it naked. I suppose that we will find some by going up and over to the northeastern part of the country.

Still cold in May?! Now then, that's really weird.

...sure hope the monsoon comes back, this year.

If only we could exchange some British rain for some Arizona sunshine. Doesn’t say much for science that we can fly a helicopter on Mars but we can’t swap weather events between countries.

Rain and more rain, and cold too. However 23 of us got together for a naturist walk in North Warwickshire last week. The first shower came dead on time at noon but with our natural overcoats the majority stayed naked. Lunch was taken at a viewspot. Shortly after starting to walk again the second shower arrived and the temperature dropped. This time the majority put some clothes on. (It's good to be in the minority sometimes) We were actually lucky. We had a shower but the motorway a few miles north was partially flooded and closed in a torrential downpour.

Shortly after the rain ceased and it warmed up again. The only sad thing was we were nearing the end of a good days walking. Roll on the next one.

To be fair, we are used to having to put the central heating on in June in this country. ‘Flaming’ June has aways had a double/contradictory meaning.

However, the cold dry period followed by cool wet period is going on rather..... The warm, sunny days here have been quite sparse. I wonder which June we will get this year?

Today has been dryer (not dry...) so far, so I have at least been out for a walk/run and wild swim. Only got a short shower, although took a little time to warm up when I got home. I am trying to use the conditions to motivate me to sort the house re-decoration, but would rather it was good weather to be in the garden.

Much of May has been cold and windy, but not as much rain as usual.   Getting out on my land I found that I have several dead and downed pine trees so I've been cutting them up for firewood.  Neither of my 16 year old Homelite chain saws would work even though I had both of them serviced last fall, about $100 each.   So I bought a new Echo "Timberwolf" chain saw.  Its got 10 more cc's and more power than my old Homelite saws.  Its a little large and heavier, but it cuts like a champ.  It starts so easily that I turn it off frequently when limbing the trees, and start it again to cut the next limb.  Except when right out at the edge of the road I have been able to do my wood cutting naked.

Wood cutting is hard work so it gets hot in heavy clothing.  I do get occasional bruises or dings from the work but its not worth being uncomfortable in clothing.  When the trees are cut into blocks, the blocks have to be split and then stacked.  Getting it done in spring will let the wood dry out for 6 months before keeping us warm next winter.

I also post these images on Twitter, and sometimes Reddit.  Doing my mart to make naked into normal for younger generations.

This picture was early in May.  By the end of May I have 2 full rows stacked above head high in my wood shed, and about 1/2 a 3rd row.

Splitting wood with my hydraulic wood  splitter.  Much easier than the sledge and wedge method.

Once split it goes into a wheelbarrow to be stacked

I always work with my wood naked. I'm more careful and conscious about it. I'm slower, but I enjoy it more than as a task of work. I don't rely on it, except for the sweat and outdoor fires, so I don't do it often enough to loose my perspective.

I consider splitting good exercise, but then again, I'm not carving up entire trees. Often its pieces of 2x4, 2x6 scraps, easier to mess with.

Bob, you look like your moving about much better than the time that we met. Warms my heart...even if you don't shit for a week. ;) ;D If it works....

At LAST! Some sunshine in the UK.  Hurrah! And about time.  We have had 3 great sunny days with a 4th and possibly a 5th,6th and 7th to come.  I have been taking full advantage having shed clothes and gardening nude and doing chores and stuff inside.  Occasional cover ups to pacify the wifey and cope with visitors (Just 1) but other times she just lets me get on with it.  Unfortunately my diary from Tuesday doesn't give me time to go on a walk although I might squeeze one in on Wednesday and see if I can do that route where I spotted an SN opportunity.

Haven't you heard?  The climate is much warmer.  It can't be cold and wet all spring.

we visited a vinyard near bognor regis on monday,  the owner there confirmed its been an unusually cold wet and windy spring.   they often get winters with no frosts , the vines didnt like the 3 hard frosts they got in april. only bright point was the spring growth was a good fortnight late so the grapes themselves wernt yet formed, so theyll still get a crop, possibly 75 percent of last years yield.

We didn't get such good weather towards the end of the week, hey ho.
Good thing really, I had to do arduous indoor activities last 2 days.
One good thing...my flagging outdoor tomato plants have perked up with the better spell of weather.
Due to domestic exigencies and the very uncomfortable temperature to be clothed, I didn't walk out last Wednesday.  It'll be some days now till I get another opportunity.  Ideal weather for nude hiking is not too sunny as I get burned (cream or not!) and it's generally uncomfortable. Give me a still somewhat humid day with hazy sun for the optimum body sensuality and enjoyment of outdoor nudity.  I haven't had a nude foray since before lockdown....Must keep my eye on the ball (....or both!)
