We still have no clue where energy comes from or what it is.
Being clever and/or smart is no guarantee of being right. One thing I have learned is that when you least expect it, Mother Nature or Murphy (is he her son?), is standing nearby with a bat. Whenever we start to believe that we know everything, someone comes along and mucks it all up. This not only applies to mathematics and physics, but most emphatically to human behavior.
