I wish you all the best in your new endeavour. It's always good to hear about a new naturist venture. Being UK based its a bit far for me to join in with you.

Good luck

I too wish you the best. Although I am not so far away as Davie. A mere 4 hr. drive.
Hopefully I can come for a visit before too long.

Nice website.

The blog thing didn't work for me though. Of course that could be because I am STILL using an ancient Windows XP system.

I don't get to Arizona very often, but when I do I get naked.

The blog didn't work for me either.

My pictures from Arizona are in the "At long last" thread.

It's strange that the blog didn't work for you.  I just tried it again and it worked fine.  Did you guys click on the "B" symbol in the upper left corner?

Are you talking about the top image?

If I click on he "B" upper left, nothing. If I right click, I get this screen:
https://www.blogger.com/about/?r=1-null_user
with no option to view anything. I can scroll withing the small window all the way to the right and I see the 2nd image.

If I click on Ken Sunwalker, I get to a blog of yours. Is this correct?
If so I can see it, it's just the "B" button doesn't appear to work on my computer.

I just revised the site to show only the block B.  It works for me, but hasn't been officially published yet, so maybe it won't work for you.  Let me know.

The site itself works for me, and it looks pretty good. But when I go to the "What Do We Do?" section and find the link to the blog, it's a weird little thing that doesn't look like anything I recognize. If I put the mouse over the "B" symbol a label appears saying "Go to Blogger.com" but clicking it has no effect. Maybe it's because I have AdBlock and a pop-up blocker?

Anyway, how's recruiting? I assume that this has all been a solo effort so far.

I see what you mean.   The "blogger" icon is so strange I didn't even recognize it.  Something needs to be fixed.

I had no difficulty with either clicking into website or finding blog (because, Duane, I am fully up to date with the technology on my PC :) :D )

Website is very nice.  As one who has managed the development of a few websites in the course of my business, I think I feel qualified to make three comments -
1) the home page scroller has some really great thoughts images and quotes but there are too many of them - takes a long time to look at them all and after a while the positive message suffers from 'argument dilution' and the viewer attention will drift.  Suggest 12-20 of the best, most relevant and most powerful images.
2) It's not entirely clear how what and where etc., one can get involved in the activities.  I guess it's early days yet and site visitors' understanding will develop from event and activity reports that appear on the site.  Do you intend to publish times and places of events?  If not how will they be known?
3) Slightly disconcerting that to submit views and copy one has to send it from the contact page into the aether.  What could happen to such material would be a worry for some (e.g. me!).  It may, I guess inhibit people to post.  Speaking personally I would find it much better to have comment and offerings from people fully visible on the site after they post it, as for a forum or feedback section on a website.  However, this is a bit more work as it brings the burden of moderation, to remove any undesirable additions.

Otherwise good effort - I'll keep an eye out to see how it develops.

Hope comments appreciated - they are offered with the best of intentions.

John

Thanks for your excellent thoughts.

I will reduce the number of thoughts to those most relevant.

True, we are early in our development.  Right now I have specified a day, but the time has been left open purposely because I want people to RSVP for events, not just show up.  Any thoughts about that?

I'm unsure about how to set up a forum that is easily visible using wix.  Any thoughts about that?

Ken,
Although I know a fair bit of 'what' and 'why', about websites, I'm a bit light on 'how' since others have tended to do the doing in projects that I have managed or participated in.  However, I do know that for most websites, the forum module is an add on which you download and add to your site.  Wix has a store of add on modules of all types and I found a free social forum 'app' see: http://www.wix.com/app-market/social-forum/overview and http://www.wix.com/app-market/all
Since you have been able to get the NAZ website going, I don't think that adding a module can be much more difficult.  I have done this on Wordpress once and it was easy.

I can't find the date on the site you refer to in your last post, just suggestions on website of a week in September when an event might occur.  For your average busy person even we retirees, you can't really plan on anything on so vague info.  Does it encourage people to write in for details?  Possibly, and it's generally a good ploy to have 'calls to action' to get people to interact with the site.  However, for my call I would say you need to plump for dates first and be specific.  Advertise date, time, location and what will happen,  Here are a couple of fictitious ones as an example of what I mean:
>  12th September - Walk in the Wilderness.  A guided group walk from 10am-4pm.  Easy Strolling conditions, hills less than 20%.  Stops for lunch and other breaks Bring own food.  Mail me on or before 9th September for map and start point.  All welcome.  Cost: Free
>  19th September - Nude Music evening.  Social gathering CO for music lecture by naturist composer Ken Walkland.  Tunesville AZ 8pm
Mail me on or before 18th September for location.  All welcome.  Cost: $10, Coffee & Cake $5

Many people believe that putting their stuff out on the web or social media is the thing that attracts people, and that's all they have to do.  It isn't.  You can do all the SEO you like but if someone isn't searching for terms that are relevant to your site, they won't find you.  I think you need to do a bit of SEO, Ken.  I googled various terms like Arizona Naturism, Naturists Located in Northern Arizona, picking copy off your website.  I googled Naz2 and Naz2 naturists.  None of these brought the site to the 1st page.  Only 2 searches worked - Naz2 Arizona and kensunwalker.  But these are very specific - who would know specifically what they are looking for in advance? - That's not a search.

What I think would be good to do is to spread the word of your site and get people you know to visit it, spread the word, chat about it on social media and get their friends to visit.  That's how websites get accessible- by advertising them on other areas than the web.

One very good source of info on how to add a forum would be our own Stuart & Karla who added the very forum we are using to their website (i.e. this one!).  Stuart?  Are you there?

Anyway, Ken, I hope that's useful, if slightly challenging info and I hope the website and Naturists of Arizona takes off in the manner you want it to.

John

It's an excellent endeavor, Ken.
Soon it will look as good as you intended.
