Figured you were traveling as we hadn't heard from you in a bit.

Enjoy the time and relax.

Thanks, Duane
Sadly relaxation has been far from my agenda. The last week has been a terrible and tiring rush round looking at houses and then off to a very elderly and disabled relative to keep her company, do the shopping, fix her stairlift, alleviate household problems since last visit and generally make her life a little easier if possible, solving another family problem by phone, negotiating the house purchase and its concomitant filling in of forms, juggling some bits of client work and generally being medium to high stressed!  However, I think I'm on top of the admin & clients for a few days at least.

Er... that's normal for me! What about you two guys, jbee and Duane? Doesn't anything difficult, onerous, distracting, agonising, tedious or stressful ever happen in your wonderful warm existences?  Or am I just oversensitive to the not so good things that happen in mine?

Actually, when I'm most stressed is the time my need to be naked is greatest.  It's definitely a de-stress strategy.  I'm naked in the hotel room as I pen this missive - the wife has had her token complain and now happily occupied reading.

Hopefully real holiday starts tomorrow- Meeting US friends who are on holiday in UK and we are touring them round picturesque northern countryside for 3 days before driving them south via a stately home or two and back to our place!  I hope the next 3 or 4 days will be a bit relaxing at least.  We are in the Lake District, and my ambition to swim naked in a clear, cold upland tarn may not be realised, but...I'm prepared with hiking towel in backpack, swim shorts if necessary but most importantly to be on the alert all the time for the opportunity should it arise. If I'm with the others I'm not going to be inhibited.  They won't die if they see my willy!

Listen and repeat. Thoughts are not mine. Feelings are not mine. There is listening, but no listener. There is seeing, but no seer. The mind is not mine. Everything happens automatically. The whole world is family…repeat each 108 times (use your beads). Or, repeat each one, chanting each for 49 minutes while dancing. Take two aspirin with a prayer in a state of hopelessness, and go to bed when you are struck by divine grace. Trust that you will awaken with a silly grin on your face in a state of mukti and everything is working out perfectly, in some kind of divine order.

Then, sit down quietly and naked and screw ‘em all.

Oh, yeah, John! Who doesn't?

We all deal with problems differently. I tend to categorize in order of importance. Deal with them from the top and wait for responses. One of the benefits of having a partner is one is more talented than the other in different things. We do a lot of hand offs.

I have the ability to simply sit down and blank out my troubles and relax for a while. My wife is less so. But we have that partnership that is very strong. We use it.

Then there is the opportunity for SN. Which ALWAYS relaxes me. If I could do that at the drop of a hat, life would indeed be good (life is good, but it would be better). It is a bit of a trip for me to do a hike so I have to plan ahead but it is worth it.  I haven't tried in a while to get her to participate, I don't want to nag, but I wish she could experience the same joy as I do.

As her partner, why wouldn't I?

I just got a PM from Dan and he has returned from the Grand Canyon trip plus more as he described to me. He said to tell all that due to work and life commitments  he has to take a break from social media but he knew of theTSNS demise and will join us later.

Now that I'm at the computer I can share what Dan wrote.

Hello Nudewalker.    Yes, see the Grand Canyon from the bottom at water level is fantastic.    A spiritual experience.    188 miles, 130 rapids.    A very wet and enjoyable ride especially nude the entire week.    And the unlimited nude hiking that followed on the North Rim and up in Zion and southern Utah was excellent though hot.    110 - 115 F every day that I was out there for the better part of the month of June.    I even had a Mustang GT convertible gift to me by Budget to cover my "cheap car" reservation for two days at the end of the month.   Rest assured, the top was never up, nor the clothes never in the way.

I have been overwhelmed by family and work obligations since I got back such that I have had to temporary pull the plug on blogging my adventures for a time.    Sorry about my absence, but it will not be forever.    Yes, I knew about the demise of SNS and will be poking around the new sites and back here of course as soon as I have some free time.

Repost the above and send my greetings to everyone for me if you like.   You will likely get to it before I do.   I must remain in social media detox for a while longer yet.   Thanks Nudewalker.    Stay naked.

-Dan

Grand Canyon:
Quote from: Dan
A spiritual experience

I second those sentiments.  I experienced a little silence & solitude on the rim last year away from the madding crowd, just enough time to meditate and let the ancient earth touch my soul.  But, sadly, not nude.

What an adventure Dan seems to have had - can't wait for more detail!

I've just had a quick look at the forum statistics page and we have certainly woken it up with a vengeance.
I am now certain that we ought to make some contribution to Stuart and Karla's web hosting costs if they will enable a method for us to do it.

Speaking of statistics, the no. 1 viewed post is the Hiking Skirt one? ? ? ? by a huge margin.

Odd.

No.2 comes at, well, no. 2 in views! Also strange.

The top topic by posts is, 'Refugees from The Secret Naturist Society'. That will probably drop off over time, though as we get to the business of discussing naturism.

I guess that just about anything can be reduced to statistics.

I was at a friend's brewery grand opening the other night (just threw that in to get attention ;D) and bumped into the son of an old friend, who of course asked what was new. I told him of the horrors of the bombing of the TSNS. He told me of a site called the waywaybackmachine, which archives all old websites and assured me that TSNS would be there!
Upon arriving home, I jumped on the net to test this with all do enthusiasm....
...ouch...it doesn't record sites that require one to sign in...

...I sat sadly awake for a while.

Sigh...the grief process rolls on, denial, anger, etc.
