Good to meet Ian and John again, and I can echo what he says about the weather and the good conversation. Hugh is with me as I type this, and seems to have enjoyed his first visit.

Keith,

Since you made no mention of it, I take it that your car was happy to take you home again without any dashboard histrionics to concern you?

Have fun,

Ian.

Naked Day every Sunday?

I miss the weekday CO days - with our various weekend commitments it's easier for me to get a weekday clear for such jollities.

Ian -

It was indeed, but thank you for asking. I sought guidance from the dealer yesterday afternoon, and am taking it to them this afternoon to be plugged into their diagnostics system to see if anything shows up. Probably 'just one of those things'!

I was there on Sunday too and it was a great day out. Several club members turned up from Spectrum too. The weather was better and I thought the gardens looked better than on our previous visit earlier in the year. The cake was good too.

Davie,

Sorry I missed you, it would have been good to encounter you in meatspace, rather than this virtual world we usually meet in.

Never mind, there's always next time.

have fun,

Ian.

PS You are right about the cake; I was very tempted to have a second slice of carrot cake...

I promised a few pics from the gardens so...

As usual, any picture can be clicked for a larger image. There's nothing very spectacular here as I was too busy chatting to think about taking pictures properly.

Have fun,

Ian.

I remember pictures like these from posts on the 'Olde Site'  :'(  Beautiful and peaceful.

It always had the appearance of seclusion and privacy. How large is the property?
It seems like you could wander around without bumping into anyone.

It's about five acres. On a busy day solitude is not really on offer but many can and do walk around alone. You can see more of the gardens here

Duane,

Those pictures were taken relatively late in the day and I was being fairly careful to keep others out of the photos in order to avoid breaching naturist etiquette. As Davie said, it is fairly busy (in a very relaxed way) on CO days when the weather is even half way decent.

Have fun,

Ian.

Hello all,
Gosh I've been so busy!  Here we are at Thursday (nearly Friday!) and I haven't had a moment to do FRN updating this week.

I had a great time in Ian's excellent company and the teatime conversation with Keith & Hugh was stimulating and I remarked on the huge breadth of topics that it covered upon most of which Ian was demurely erudite - amazingly eclectic mind, Ian has.

It is so rare for me to get an extended time where I can just 'BE' whilst naked and so, in the car journey back I found the soul refreshed and the body wanting more naked time!

Even Ian remarked that AHG was special in that it was just so relaxed. Not a CO club and not having to be on the lookout for danger if in the countryside, very comfortable, with which sentiments I agreed entirely.  So 3 cheers for AHG!

I didn't know Ian Pollard had had a stroke.  How terrible.  I did notice that Barbara had abandoned her florid purple, shortish hairstyle, preferring longer grey hair and she was dressed as she toured the grounds.  On the other 2 occasions I have visited she and Ian were naked apart from a gardening tool belt and gloves!

Davie!  SOOOO DISAPPOINTED that you were there and to have missed you, you should have flagged your intention to be there on the forum in advance.  With 4 forum members round the table that would have been a real quorum of the forum!

Just an update on the spousal aspects:  On the evening before I was visibly getting my stuff ready and the wife asked what I was doing.  On telling her she said she thought I had abandoned that and began to dole out some moral blackmail as something important had come up regarding our house sale that day that was important and I was leaving her to deal with it.
However, I was properly assertive and calmly firm saying that since there was an arrangement to meet up that I have committed to, I would not let my friends down and that I had agreed with her a few days previously that I could and would go.  She did the line about considering her feelings and I did one about considering my feelings but she accepted my resolve.  I went on a bit about the people there not being baby eaters or crocodile molesters (or vice versa!) and she just said "I don't want to know about it and I certainly don't want you to tell me about it when you get back"'.   However, when I did get back she asked me how I'd got on and I gave her a pretty full account (I really enjoyed the crocodile molesting and the roast baby sandwiches were delicious!).  She even looked at my pictures on my phone and she now knows what Ian looks like as I took a nice portrait of his head & shoulders only.  As I skipped over the 1st photo with a nude person in it she said "Why did you skip that one?"  "Because it had a nude person in it. dear, which out of respect I averted from your gaze."  But she did want to see those and looked at the lot (about 30-40, most with no one in but a couple with Ian from the rear and a couple with other naked people in the distance) and commented calmly although throwing in some disapproval at the end.

So good response there.

I would have posted some pics but I had a terrible accident.  I have just changed mobile provider and I was changng sims into a new phone and I reset the old phone, and...you guessed it ....forgot to download the AHG photos first! So, irritatingly, my carefully comprehensive selection is gone, including a very nice portrait of the AHG tortoise!

John

By the way, Larry, I noted that Ian had acquired a very even deep tan from his Minorca holiday.  Not I think as yet knocking you off the most-tanned pedestal !  ...But a contender!  ;)

A bit of artistic licence there John. My tan is even at present and I have managed to retain much of the colour I developed in May, however, compared to Larry or Dave, I look like I have been dipped in white paint and then rolled in flour.

At this point I should share a comment made by a former boss; "we all tend to underestimate our own knowledge and overestimate that of others". Careful not to prove him right John; all I usually provide is a quiet nod, an occasional "uh huh" and a question from a genuinely baffled listener.  ::)

Have fun,

Ian.

Sorry but I didn't actually know we were going until about 9.00 am Sunday morning. I saw that the weather looked reasonable I suggested we go, and we did!

If you're that pale, I must be transparent! I have always been paper white!  I would love to have the capacity to acquire an even, light tan.  I am as brown at the moment as I can remember ever being due to taking advantage of the good patches of uk weather in the garden mostly.  This means I can now detect a difference in shade between the upper surface of my forearms and the other side.  The under surface, less exposed to the sun is white, the upper surface where the sun has been most is slightly cream!!!  However, my back is slightly tanned and due to obsessive barefooting & wearing minimal sandals my feet are a little tanned too compared with my lower legs which seem to be as refractory as a pottery kiln lining!

I was extremely envious of one chap at AHG who was incredibly evenly tanned.  Not even a slight shading to pale between his buttocks and his tan was so even.  Looked like it had been sprayed on....oh...Ah! well, yes, maybe!

Maybe my new environment will give me additional sunbathing opportunity next year? I fully expect it to.
