Free Range Naturism / Re: Favourite places for free range naturism

Within twenty minutes to an hour drive from my house I have access to two wildlife management areas, a state park and just across the border in the next state another state park, two state forests and a state game land. Weekdays and of course non-hunting seasons provide the best times. Early summer mornings provide the best opportunity on weekends.

A birthday celebration in a birthday suit! Well, at least partiality anyway. I do celebrate mine the same however it’s indoors because my birthday is in the dead of winter. As for Jbee and Nuduke being the only guys here; with things as they are I only live vicariously through you and my memories.

A meeting in Ohio would have been great! And I hope the two of you got to enjoy those mowed pathways. Things here have been touch and go with health issues so free range time has been severely limited. So keep up the postings as I’m living vicariously through you for the time being.

One of the things I miss since retirement is the commute home carnuding. To be honest and due to the odd shift hours it was done mostly in the dark.
As for wearing a kilt; most comments I have heard have been positive. September and October I often wear a “Kilted to kick cancer” shirt to remind both men and women to get checked or tested.

In West Virginia USA there is a state park named Blackwater Falls for the same reason. The water is tinted from fallen hemlock and red spruce needles releasing tannic acid.

No plans of yet Jbee. We’re dealing with a medical issues while not life threatening can be debilitating so travel is on hold as we have weekly treatment and testing. So for the time being we look at brochures, dream of warmer days and hope for improvement. Even though she struggles the encouragement is there for me to get out and get naked when the weather improves. She knows the positives on my mental health.

I miss being out in the snow. Changes in the neighborhood have limited doing naked snow angels and issues at home have limited outdoor nude time period. Last time I got to snow hike in boots, gloves, hat and sunglasses managed to get a bit of a sunburn. So be thankful your snow melted before noon!

General Naturism Discussion / Re: New President likes to skinnydip
« on: January 06, 2021, 06:05:07 PM »
I'm not really surprised at this, considering that we are about the same age and grew up in much the same blue collar environment. It's been said that skinny dipping was a rite of passage in our area but it was really a product of necessity. We didn't have swimming pools, and honestly I don't think bathing suits were deemed a necessity to growing families where money was tight. My first suit was a hand me down from an older cousin when my family took their first vacation.

I doubt that there will be much of a shift toward naturism. There are still too many politicians beholden to the evangelical base to allow that kind of change.

Free Range Naturism / Re: Glamping

Glamping is what I do with a 32 foot (roughly 10 meter) travel trailer. I'd much rather "rough it" a bit more but concessions must be made in order to keep peace in the marriage. So the plus side, she gets to remain comfortable in a heated/cooled environment with creature comforts. And I get to roam freely in nature so I consider it a win/win situation. I will be eagerly awaiting to read of your adventures.

We came across a g birder this weekend i the Huachuca Mountains. He said he wasn't concerned when he saw my starting to unravel my sarong. I said, "it's my birthday."
DF added, "It's his birthday suit."
He said that he was more worried about the "plaque" and he couldn't be hurt by naked people.
Jbee

I remember my encounter with a birder. He was more concerned with my encountering  insects and briars than my nakedness. He was dressed with long sleeves, long pants and the pant legs tucked into his socks.

I had an e-mail offering 10% off. Maybe contact them at kiltedbros@gmail.com to ask?

Just wanted to add a short note here. Nick & Jefferson the Kiltedbros have had to close their retail store due to the state being on a stay at home order and only essential retail like food and pharmacy are open. I ordered another kilt from them in order to support them and help with cash flow at this time. So if any of you are considering one this would be the time to support the kiltedbros.com.

My pleasure Jbee. I now own two of them which now gives me a total of five kilts in total, and one pair of jeans.  I do have to admit that with one of the Kiltedbros kilts there an issue with the velcro holding under stress.  Overall I am satisfied and will order another one soon.

None of the schools in my area were rich enough to afford a swimming pool but I do remember going to the Y to swim and until the middle of the 60's we swam nude. As for the polluted swimming holes, all of us in my neighborhood skinny dipped well into out teen years.

General Naturism Discussion / Re: Coping with cold weather
« on: February 11, 2020, 03:58:37 PM »
Due to the fact that my wife has health issues our home is kept warmer than what most people do. So with all the additional insulation and other weatherproofing plus a high efficiency furnace I can be quite comfortable nude indoors. As for free range anything over 50F with no wind is tolerable to me. It's just with no tree or leaf cover there are not many places to go outside.
