The 1st post on this thread noted that the site had rolled over to 10,000 posts on or about March 14, 2018, 06:55:41 PM.
I noticed that Jbee’s post in “Crabbing Trip” on October 17, 2018, 10:43:17 AM, was the 12,000th.
That’s 216.66 days, or 5,199.79 hrs. since the 10,000 th , which is 2.60 posts/hr. Whoopee!
The oldest post on the site seems to be; Forum Rules: on: July 25, 2013, 06:54:47 PM {Administrator}
To the 10,000th post that is 1,693.00 days and 40,632.02 hrs., which is 4.06 posts/hr.
To the 12,000th post that is 1,909.66 days and 45,831.81 hrs., which is 3.82 posts/hr.
So the posting rates over time seem to trend down in frequency. My guess is that this is normal for most sites. If there were a way to analyze the info here the graph would probably be up and down as new members join, but trending downward.
Unless it’s simply a distribution artifact because of the longer time the site has been up and running.
I suppose that at some point everything that can be said has been said by the current group.
More newbies are needed (active newbies that is).
